What is Board of Change ?

Since the invention of money, business people have been taught that being rich is good. Yes, in today’s society we need money to live, play and survive. But being rich isn’t necessarily being enriched. Enrichment is so much more — and it’s measured by more than financial metrics, but by environmental and social ones too. Indeed, business has changed and it has become to clear that, in the quest for checks and balances, any appropriate response must be a departure from the usual.

Introducing the Board of Change, a not-for-profit social enterprise inaugurated by business people with the goal of integrating sustainability into business practices and economic thinking. It does this through a number of programs and projects, including advocacy, all with the goal of shifting paradigms in a world that has long embraced the status quo. Importantly, the Board of Change will reach out to those business sectors and creative industries, particularly SMEs, that have long sought to find a networking and membership organization that supports sustainable business values.

A membership driven initiative, the Board of Change is founded on the principle that massive change requires massive action — and a new, innovative way of looking at the world and how things should be. Inclusive and collaborative in nature, the Board of Change offers an institutional response to business and sustainability that is results based and creatively driven. Plus, in an environment where talk and rhetoric seem to be the norm, the Board of Change is peopled with individuals who bring action and entrepreneurial sensibilities to everything they do.

The Board of Change is where business as usual becomes business unusual.

The Board of Change is an inclusive, not-for-profit organizational network that exists to develop and foster a new economic model that values the pursuit of sustainability equally with the pursuit of profit.
